Who

I’m Eddie. I’m a husband, father, maker of things, and also a maker of things that aren’t things.

My work has been in the engineering sector for the last couple of decades, across a variety of roles.  I’m a qualified fabricator, having honed my craft predominantly through motorsport, general, structural, precision and stainless engineering.  Making things with craft, care, and finesse has always been a passion, and I suspect it always will.

More recently though I have been fortunate to work in management roles, with the bulk of my experience in Operations Management, but with a dash of Production Management, and even a sprinkling of Estimation in there too.  Even more recently I’ve been focusing on Special Projects: these are projects that fall outside of normal day-to-day business operations, but which are valuable for the business to pursue.

Mapping structures and processes has been a recurring theme, but I feel the real value I bring is by embedding in the business, then understanding and capturing the true essence of a company.  Putting into words the ‘feel’ of a company, its people and its operation, so that the direction forward can be better articulated, better understood, and have the very best chance of success.

It is interesting work, and digging around in the underpinnings of the company can be tricky, but it is hugely rewarding.  If your company has grown, or if you’re a founder looking for a way to express who your company is, give me a buzz.  Alternatively, if you want something made, I can do that too.
